First Visit / New Clients
When you arrive
When you arrive, my studio is the first on the left hand side, Studio 4. If my door is open, feel free to come right in. If I’m finishing up with an other client, you can relax in the sola salon space. (The blue chairs are extra comfy!)
Inside the studio, You’ll have your pick of water, coffee, tea, sodas (including some alternative sodas), plus a selection of variety of snacks.
If you need the restroom, turn left from the front door, head down the hall to the last door on the left (I carry menstrual products in my studio if you ever need one lemme know!)
Preparing your hair before your visit
For best results, please come in with your hair generally clean (about 24-48 hours before your appointment is perfect). Also, it’s helpful if your hair lightly detangled (brushing it that morning is totally fine!) And if you can wear your hair down that’s great, it helps me see how your hair naturally drapes around your face and head. Thank you and I can’t wait to have you in your chair :)

Grey Coverage vs Grey Blending
Grey Coverage
Grey Coverage is fully covering grey with a single, consistent color. If you prefer your hair a solid rich shade with no signs of greys then this is a great option for you. Maintenance is typically falls every 4-8 weeks.
Grey Blending
Grey blending creates a more subtle, dimensional look. There are several ways I can approach this, depending on what works best for your hair, your lifestyle and your personal vibes. Sometimes I’ll use an all over gloss of color to add a veil of warmth or richness to your hair. Other times, I foil in a mix of blonde shades and deeper shades creating a natural looking dimension in your hair that harmonizes with your greys.
I can also combine grey blending with partial coverage, selectively covering greys in some areas while adding lighter bits of dimension that flow with how your hair naturally grows. Maintenance is typically 9-16+ weeks depending on your hair goals and desired look.

Tips For Keeping Your Hair Healthy
How Often to Shampoo
The ideal shampoo frequency varies depending on your hair and scalp needs. Generally shampooing every 3-5 days works well for most people. If you have dry, curly, or thick hair, shampooing once a week might be perfect. If your hair is fine, soft, or thin shampooing every 2-4 days might be best. Ultimately listen your hair and shampoo when you feel is best.
Deep Conditioner / Hair Mask
In our PNW climate using a deep conditioner (or Hair mask) is so important to maintaining healthy shiny hair. If you have fine hair deep condition your hair every three shampoos. For dry, medium to coarse hair, deep condition every other shampoo. For damaged, curly, or chronically dry hair deep condition every shampoo.
Brushing and Ponytail Care
Gently brush your hair from ends to roots. Brushes with flexible bristles are so important. Wet brushes or Framar brushes are good brands. For straight to wavy hair gently brush your hair before washing, detangle with your fingers or a wide tooth comb. Apply a detangling spray and gently and slowly brush if needed. For curly hair use your fingers to gently pick a part tangles before washing. Then, once you’re conditioner is applied further detangle with a wide tooth comb or your fingers.
Ponytail Care
Avoid tight ponytails whenever possible. When removing the hair tie, gently unloop the hair tie instead of pulling it out (it breaks the hair around your face).
Towel Drying Hair
Instead of rubbing your hair with a towel, gently scrunch with a hair safe towel. You can also scrunch out the water with your hands, then either let it dry, squeeze your hair with a hair safe towel or wrap it with a t- shirt.
